What is a BLDC ceiling fan, and how is it different from an ordinary fan? A BLDC ceiling fan runs on a brushless DC motor instead of a conventional induction motor. It converts far more of the electricity it draws into airflow — so you get the same strong breeze at a fraction of the power, quietly, with a remote.
How much electricity does a BLDC fan actually save? Up to 60% less. An Aapanam BLDC fan uses about 29W at full speed versus roughly 75W for an ordinary fan of the same size. Over long summer hours, that adds up to real savings on every fan, every month.
Is a BLDC fan worth the higher price? If your fans run for several hours a day, almost always yes. The price difference is usually recovered within one to two seasons through lower electricity bills — after which the fan keeps saving you money, year after year.
Will a BLDC fan run on an inverter during power cuts? Yes, very well. Because it draws far less current, your inverter battery lasts much longer. These fans also pair well with solar and UPS setups.
Does a BLDC fan need special wiring or a new regulator? No. It connects to the same wiring already in use in your home, on the same 230V supply as any ceiling fan. Speed is controlled by the remote, so the old wall regulator is simply replaced with a plain switch. We recommend installation by a qualified electrician.
Are BLDC fans quieter than ordinary fans? Yes. The brushless motor produces almost no hum, so most of what you hear is just moving air — ideal for bedrooms, study rooms and offices.
Do Aapanam fans come with a remote? Yes. Every Aapanam BLDC fan comes with an RF remote. Once the wall switch is on, you can control speed, modes and light from anywhere in the room.
Are Aapanam fans really Made in India? Yes. Aapanam BLDC ceiling fans are designed and manufactured in India by Aapanam Global Pvt Ltd at our factory in Ghiloth, Rajasthan — with India-based service and genuine spare parts.
Warranty
What warranty do I get, and why 5 years when most brands give 2? Every Aapanam BLDC fan comes with a 5-year warranty on the motor — more than double the cover typical of ordinary fans. The motor is the heart of a BLDC fan, and this is the clearest way we can stand behind how our fans are built.
When does the warranty start? Your warranty is counted from the invoice date of your order. The GST invoice you receive with your order is your warranty proof — please keep it safe.
Orders, Payment & Delivery
What payment methods can I use? You can pay securely by UPI, debit or credit card, or net banking. Every payment is processed through a secure payment gateway.
Is Cash on Delivery available? You can book your order by paying a small advance per fan online and pay the remaining amount at delivery, wherever this option is shown at checkout. The exact amounts are always shown to you at checkout before you confirm your order.
How long does delivery take, and what does it cost? Delivery is free anywhere in India. Most orders are delivered within 3 to 7 working days after dispatch, and you receive a tracking number as soon as your order ships. For international orders, please write to us at [email protected].
How do I track my order? Three easy ways: use the Track Order page with your order number and email, click the tracking link in your order emails, or sign in to your account and open the order in My Orders to see its latest status.
Will I get a GST invoice? Yes, every order comes with a GST invoice. Buying for a business? Enter your GSTIN at checkout and it will appear on your invoice.
Returns & Cancellation
What if my fan arrives damaged or defective? Contact us within 7 days of delivery and we will arrange a free replacement. Full details are in our Refund & Returns Policy.
