Step-by-step guide to install your AAPANAM BLDC ceiling fan safely and correctly. Professional installation is strongly recommended.
Introduction
AAPANAM BLDC ceiling fans use advanced brushless DC motor technology that requires precise electrical wiring to function correctly. While the installation process is straightforward for experienced electricians, we strongly recommend having a certified electrician or our authorised technician perform the installation.

Safety Precautions
🚨 Read Before You Begin
Ignoring these safety precautions can result in electric shock, fire, or serious injury. Aapanam will not be liable for damage caused by improper installation.
Main switch (MCB) को OFF करें — सिर्फ fan switch नहीं, पूरे circuit का main power cut करें।
Voltage tester से confirm करें कि wires live नहीं हैं — then proceed.
Certified electrician या Aapanam authorized technician से installation करवाएं।
Ceiling की load-bearing capacity check करें — minimum 25 kg support होनी चाहिए।
Concrete ceiling में expansion bolts use करें — wooden/POP ceiling के लिए special brackets लगते हैं।
Installation के दौरान बच्चों और पालतू जानवरों को दूर रखें।
Step-by-Step Installation
Ceiling Junction Box Check करो
Existing junction box की condition check करें। Box properly fixed और rust-free होनी चाहिए। अगर नई junction box install करनी है तो drill करके expansion bolts से fix करें। Voltage tester से confirm करें कि power OFF है।
Junction box minimum 15 kg load handle कर सके — यह check ज़रूरी है।
Mounting Bracket Install करो
Box में दिए गए mounting bracket को ceiling junction box पर align करके screws से tight करें। Bracket level (horizontal) होना चाहिए — spirit level से check करें। सभी screws fully tightened हों।
Loose bracket आगे chatter noise का कारण बनता है।
Electrical Wiring Connect करो
तीन wires को connect करें — Live (Brown/Red), Neutral (Blue/Black), Earth (Green/Yellow)। Wires को terminal block में insert करके screws से tight करें। कोई bare wire expose नहीं होनी चाहिए।
Fan Motor Mount करो
Fan motor को bracket के ball-and-socket joint में carefully insert करें। Motor को rotate करके lock position में click होने दें। Ball joint से fan को थोड़ा हिलाकर confirm करें कि यह secure है।
Ball joint properly locked होने पर एक click sound आती है।
Blades Attach करो
हर blade को blade iron (arm) में align करके included screws से tight करें। सभी blades में equal number of screws use करें। Blades की symmetry check करें — uneven blades vibration cause करती हैं।
Blade screws को over-tighten न करें — blade crack हो सकती है।
Canopy लगाओ
Decorative canopy को ऊपर slide करके motor housing के ऊपर fit करें। सभी wiring को canopy के अंदर neatly tuck करें। Canopy को included screws से secure करें।
Canopy लगाने से पहले सभी wires properly connected हैं यह final check करें।
Power ON करके Test करो
Main MCB ON करें। Wall switch से fan चालू करें। सभी speeds test करें। Direction reverse button check करें (Summer: anticlockwise, Winter: clockwise)। कोई noise या vibration नहीं होनी चाहिए।
पहली बार 5 मिनट slow speed पर run करें — components settle होते हैं।
WiFi & BLE Setup Smart Fans Only
Applicable for AAPANAM Smart and IoT Pro models only. Standard fans skip this section.
App Download करो
Play Store या App Store से 'Aapanam Smart' app download करें। Account बनाएं या login करें।
WiFi Connect करो
App में 'Add Device' tap करें। Router का 2.4 GHz WiFi password enter करें। Fan के pairing button को 5 seconds hold करें।
Remote Setup करो
App से speed, timer, sleep mode, और direction control करें। Google Assistant / Alexa से voice commands enable करें।
Troubleshooting
Fan चल नहीं रहा
- →Main MCB/fuse check करें
- →Wall switch connection verify करें
- →Voltage tester से live wire confirm करें
- →Terminal block connections tight करें
Unusual Noise / Vibration
- →सभी blade screws tight करें
- →Mounting bracket screws check करें
- →Ball joint properly locked है verify करें
- →Blades bent या damaged हैं check करें
Remote काम नहीं कर रहा
- →Remote की batteries replace करें (AAA × 2)
- →Remote को receiver (fan) की तरफ point करें
- →Receiver antenna जाम या damaged नहीं है check करें
- →Remote को fan से pair करें (manual देखें)
WiFi Connect नहीं हो रहा
- →Router 2.4 GHz band पर है confirm करें (5 GHz नहीं)
- →WiFi password correct है verify करें
- →Fan को router के पास रखकर first-time setup करें
- →App को uninstall करके re-install करें
